- Studying of the effect of solar UV-B radiation on terrestrial ecosystems and the sea.
- Studying of the influence of ozone layer changes on the balance of the global carbon.
- Development of laser remote control methods of photosynthetic activity.
- Studying of the physical properties of the modified nonlinear GaSe crystals to create on their basis efficient sources of coherent near, mid and far infrared radiation, including the THz spectral range.
- Development of environmental control techniques in the THz spectral range.
- Implementation of applied research and application of results of the developments in practice, participation in the development of regional programs for the development of economic sectors, conducting assessments, and the development of regulations.
